Routing policy

This is what we accept from other networks and what we send them.

What we accept

  • We drop routes for bogon prefixes, including the default route ::/0.
  • We drop routes with a bogon ASN in the AS path (private, documentation and reserved ASNs).
  • We drop routes with an AS path longer than 100.
  • All border routers validate RPKI. We drop RPKI-invalid routes from every session.
  • We remove our own communities (205079:*:*) and BLACKHOLE (65535:666) from every route we receive.
  • We honour GRACEFUL_SHUTDOWN (65535:0, RFC 8326) by setting local preference to 0.

What we announce

  • Only our own prefix, 2001:678:10ec::/48. We do not provide transit.
  • Our AS-SET is AS205079:AS-MANS, which today contains only AS205079 itself.
  • We remove private ASNs from the AS path.
  • Before maintenance on a router, we tag our routes on that router with GRACEFUL_SHUTDOWN (65535:0), so you can move traffic away in time.

BGP communities
